In the Advanced Surgery business unit , we develop and distribute innovative surgical solutions that reduce complications from bleeding and improve healing processes – such as hemostatic products, tissue sealants and sealants.

As an Account Manager for Advanced Surgery (m/f/d) , you combine medical expertise with entrepreneurial thinking. You are a strategic partner to your customers in the hospital sector and, through your work, contribute directly to improving surgical care – the right product for the right clinical challenge.

Your tasks

  • Take responsibility: You will independently manage your sales territory, maintain existing customer relationships and specifically identify new business opportunities in the hospital sector.
  • In-depth consulting: They accompany surgical procedures, conduct product training and workshops, and position Baxter as a trusted partner for surgeons and medical professionals.
  • Act strategically: Based on sound customer analyses, you develop individual strategies to increase sales, conduct price and sales analyses, and plan measures for sustainable profitability.
  • Building networks: They cultivate relationships with opinion leaders, decision-makers in purchasing, pharmacy and hospital management – ​​thus promoting long-term partnerships.
  • Driving innovation: They accompany the introduction of new products through conceptual product testing and support scientific events, P2P workshops and symposia.
  • Embrace collaboration: Working closely with Marketing, Medical, Supply Chain and Bids & Tenders, you drive business development in your region.

Your profile

  • Completed studies in the natural sciences, economics or health economics or an equivalent qualification with relevant professional experience
  • Pharmaceutical representative (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) or expertise in accordance with Section 75 of the German Medicines Act (AMG).
  • At least 8-10 years of field sales experience in the pharmaceutical or medical technology industry, ideally in the hospital sector.
  • Demonstrable success in key account management and in the support of surgical clients
  • Enjoyment of working in the operating room environment and direct exchange with surgeons
  • A high degree of initiative, entrepreneurial thinking, and strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient use of CRM systems and MS Office, good English skills
