CHARITY ACCOUNT MANAGER EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • University Bachelor’s Degree level in a relevant field
  • Experience working for/with charities and a knowledge base to understand how they operate and what their needs will be (desirable)
  • Client-facing experience, loves to get on the phone to speak to contacts and has a natural ability to present and nurture relationships (essential)
  • At least 2 years’ experience of account management, customer service or a related field (desirable)
  • Previous employment in design/promotional merchandise businesses or associated roles (desirable)
  • Proven track record of developing customer relationships and spend
  • Previous dealings with supply chains
  • Technology proficient (CRM systems such as Synergist)

Responsibilities

THE CHARITY ACCOUNT MANAGER ROLE

As an Account Manager, you will play a vital role in harvesting relationships between Bluestep and our incredible charity partners. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure client satisfaction, develop loyalty and drive revenue and gross profit growth by understanding and delivering the clients’ needs and effectively communicating with those clients as well as internal teams and suppliers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE CHARITY ACCOUNT MANAGER

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business goals, needs and challenges. Act as the main point of contact for clients and ensure their inquiries, issues and requests are addressed promptly
  • Account Planning: Create and implement account plans that outline the strategy for growing revenue, gross profit, client retention and client satisfaction. Set clear objectives and milestones for each client
  • Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer support to address any concerns, troubleshoot problems, and ensure clients receive high-quality service. Conduct regular client feedback sessions to assess their level of satisfaction, gather insights and identify areas for improvement
  • Negotiation: Negotiate terms and pricing with both suppliers and clients to maximize profitability for both the company and the client
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with various departments within the company, such as marketing, design and creative to ensure smooth and effective communication with clients and to deliver solutions that meet their needs
  • Problem Solving: Address any issues or complaints raised by clients in a timely and efficient manner. Proactively identify potential problems and work towards solutions to prevent negative experiences
  • Reporting: Provide information for regular reports on account performance, turnover and gross profit projections and client feedback for management review
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of industry trends, market conditions and competitors’ activities to better understand clients’ needs and provide relevant solutions
  • The Bluestep Way: Develops an understanding of Bluestep love and care principles and proactively applies these to clients. Displays a willingness to learn, understands company ethos and builds strong and supportive relationships with colleagues.
    Overall, you will be responsible for building long-term relationships with clients, ensuring their success and contributing to the overall growth and success of the company. Effective communication, interpersonal skills and a strong understanding of the business landscape are crucial for success in this role.
