THE OPPORTUNITY

Metalcorp is looking for an Account Manager at our location in Toowoomba. Metalcorp is a leading rural Australian steel distributor, supplying brands for the land through our branches and stockists across Australia. We are entering an important new chapter, and we need someone who brings energy, initiative, and a sales-driven mindset. This role also manages the customers in the South Burnett, Wide Bay and Bundaberg regions; this will see you covering territory between Toowoomba and Bundaberg.
This is a role where relationships really matter. You’ll be spending time with customers locally in Toowoomba and out on the road, visiting a variety of customers across the region. You’ll be backed by a supportive manager and team that values fresh ideas, open communication, and a culture where everyone feels welcome. Whether you’ve been in the steel industry for years or a related area, we’d love your help to grow the success of our business in regional Queensland.

Responsibilities

You’ll develop sales strategies and help drive growth in revenue, margin, and market share across our steel products — including fencing, tubing, and rural infrastructure solutions that keep regional communities moving. You’ll:

  • spot new opportunities to support farmers, fabricators, and resellers across the region
  • grow our presence with existing customers by understanding their needs and delivering practical solutions
  • build and nurture relationships with key rural and agricultural stakeholders
  • stay connected with what’s happening in local industries to uncover new opportunities for growth
  • prepare proposals, quotes, and tenders that meet customer needs and drive business success
