About the role This is a key role which reports directly to our State Merchants & Residential Manager for Queensland. Customer engagement is absolutely key to the success of this role. You’ll be the front-line representative to our key customer, Bunnings, ensuring exceptional service and support, whilst maintaining, increasing, and promoting the GWA brand. In addition, you’ll have responsibility for: Sales performance: achieving budgeted sales and margin targets within your area of responsibility and analysing sales statistics to formulate effective strategies for growing sales and maximising profitability. Expense management: monitoring, reviewing and managing expenses within your job scope, reporting variances and recommending resolutions to ensure that expenditure delivers suitable outcomes. Market intelligence: providing valuable market intelligence on competition, merchant activity, market conditions, and economic indicators – and utilising this information to inform sales strategies and initiatives. Product expertise: coordinating product training tailored to merchants' specific requirements, and providing technical information both internally and externally, with an emphasis on saleable features and benefits. Relationship building: you’ll be skilled at developing and maintaining relationships with both current and potential stakeholders. Reporting: preparing weekly sales reports outlining sales volume, potential sales, proposed customer base expansion, and competitor activity. Merchandising: ensuring merchant displays are current and presentable, with obsolete products removed and brand equity maximised. Sales strategies: identifying opportunities for developing and implementing sales strategies to maximise sales and margin growth. About you As our Account Manager, Bunnings you will have: Proven experience in sales and account management, preferably within the industry. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Excellent analytical abilities to interpret sales performance and market trends. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in MS Office (essential) and MS D365 (desirable) What can you expect from us?
