Description

GLG is seeking an Account Manager for our Corporate Markets business unit. The Account Manager will be responsible for engaging and building relationships with our Industrials accounts across the US. The Account Manager - Industrials role is a key client-facing position on GLG’s Corporate Industrials Sales team and plays a vital part in GLG's relationships with leading Chemicals, Diversified Industrials, Materials, Automotive and Energy companies. The Account Manager engages and manages client relationships, helping them fully realize the value of GLG’s platform and services. They will have responsibility to develop both large and mid-sized firms, collaborating with a team of Client Solutions and Research professionals to bring new project ideas to clients. Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Directly engage and build relationships across all seniority levels within our clients to articulate GLG’s brand and tailor our value proposition Partner with GLG’s Client Solutions and Research teams to retain and grow existing client relationships Enhance customer targeting, segmentation and outreach while refining the firm’s value proposition across their clients. You will further develop the firm’s service offering and explore opportunities for new product development. You will continually assess industry trends, the marketplace, competitive behaviors, customer preferences, and best practices to deliver for their clients. Identify growth opportunities, build and execute account plans and realize objectives by helping to lead and prioritize GLG’s client service teams Collaborate with colleagues – sales, marketing, legal, research, finance, technology – to solve complex business issues and successfully bring these to market Work alongside senior stakeholders in negotiating enterprise-level deals for existing clients and new business Expand and penetrate existing clients as well as new client acquisition and adoption of new products and systems An ideal candidate will have the following: 3-5 years of work experience in an Account Management/Sales role preferably in a relevant industries Demonstrated ability to make consultative enterprise-level sales through development and execution of account plans, and coordinating resources across multiple client service teams Outstanding written and oral communication skills Ability to interact with senior executives and professionals The highest level of integrity and professionalism Demonstrated ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time Bachelor’s degree, or above, or equivalent work experience What We Offer: Benefits: All U.S. GLGers also have access to benefits such as: Comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage effective on your first day of employment Flexible paid time off. Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
