We are looking for an Account Manager to join our team in supporting clients in the defense, military and industrial manufacturing sectors. The position requires a full-time commitment, a passion for sales and experience in selling to business customers and defense contractors. We are looking for someone who has strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an attention to detail, and can prioritize effectively, meet deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience navigating complex sales cycles, managing government or industrial contracts and building strong relationships with procurement, engineering and program management teams. The role will drive revenue growth by developing new opportunities and deepening existing relationships with strategic accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Source and respond to bids, RFQs, RFPs, RFIs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and contract holders.
• Serves as the point of contact between customer and operations to resolve order specification matters. Understand and communicate compliance requirements of customers to Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Departments.
• Manage awarded business to ensure tracking and updating of customer data including forecasting and pricing through internal business management system, and support account receivables invoicing and P.O. adjustments
• Identify and develop new business opportunities.

Preferences:

• Working knowledge of Federal and Defense contracting requirements (FAR/DFARS/ITAR)
• Understanding of defense procurement processes, MIL-SPEC requirements and government contracts
• Experience with government contractors
• Experience with supplier relationship management
