Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

As an Account Manager at Dexter Energy, you’ll play a critical role in managing and expanding relationships with our existing clients in the energy space. Instead of selling from scratch, you’ll focus on maximizing value for both the client and Dexter. Your focus is to analyze performance, renegotiate contracts where necessary, and drive upsells on volume and additional products. This is a highly commercial role that requires short term energy trading knowledge, client engagement, strong business acumen, and the ability to navigate complex negotiations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Go deep into client accounts to assess ongoing performance and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Renegotiate contracts where conditions have changed, ensuring long-term win-win partnerships.
  • Identify and drive upsell opportunities—whether in additional volumes, new products, or optimizations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to our clients, helping them optimize their trading strategies using Dexter’s solutions.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years in a commercial role in the renewable energy space (e.g., Account Manager, Structurer, Originator, or Business Development Manager)
  • Proven track record in renegotiating complex contracts, optimizing deals, and upselling solutions.
  • Business acumen to understand the renewable energy market and AI solutions (strategy, analytics or finance background is a bonus).
  • Data-driven mindset, able to assess client performance and proactively recommend solutions.
  • Passion for renewable energy and AI
