Description
At Kids2, we’re really good at what we do. And when we’re great at our jobs, we help parents be great at their jobs. Parenting is demanding, and that’s where we come in. We want to reimagine how brands can make it easier for early stage parents – not by just selling them products, but by providing holistic solutions that transcend borders, categories and aisles. No matter our title or department, at Kids2, our job is to create more tiny wins for parents, so they can create bright futures for their little ones. That’s a big task! We’re serious about what we do, AND we love to have fun. Our team is hardworking, entrepreneurial, and passionate about helping families create millions, if not billions of tiny wins. SUMMARY The Ecommerce Account Manager will drive growth across key pure player marketplaces and support the expansion of our ecommerce footprint across Europe. This role will focus on both managing existing online retail partners and actively developing a strong pipeline of new “chasing” accounts, with a special focus on 1P regional accounts and Pan-EU marketplaces (3P). You will work closely with our Ecommerce teams, regional sales, marketing, operations, and finance to deliver sustainable sales growth, strong profitability, and best-in-class online execution. We are looking for a highly motivated, growth-minded team player with strong ownership, curiosity, and the ambition to learn and develop in a fast-moving, global, cross-functional environment. Prior ecommerce sales experience is a strong plus, but we prioritize character, potential, and soft skills (drive, collaboration, learning mindset) over a perfect technical background. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Key Account Management – Regional Pure Players Manage and grow a portfolio of German and Dutch ecommerce pure player accounts. Own day-to-day commercial relationships: regular business reviews, performance follow-ups, and joint action plans with buyers and account contacts. Support the development and execution of account plans including assortment, pricing, promotions, and content optimization to drive traffic, conversion, and sales. Monitor account performance (sell-in/sell-out, inventory, pricing, margin) and propose corrective actions when needed. Coordinate with internal teams (demand planning, logistics, finance, marketing, customer service) to ensure operational excellence for the accounts. 2. New Business Development – Chasing Account Pipeline Identify, qualify, and prioritize new ecommerce customers. Support outreach, first contact, and follow-up communication with potential partners. Assist in preparing pitch materials, commercial proposals, and assortment recommendations. Help build and maintain a structured chasing pipeline with clear stages, timelines, and next steps. 3. 3rd Party Marketplaces – Pan-EU Support Support the management and optimization of our 3rd party (3P) marketplace business across Pan-EU (e.g., Amazon 3P and/or other key marketplaces). Help monitor performance metrics (traffic, conversion, buy box, pricing, stock availability, content quality) and suggest improvement actions. Coordinate with ecommerce operations / catalog teams to ensure accurate product setup, content, and pricing across marketplaces. Support the implementation of marketplace campaigns (deal events, seasonal promotions, launches) in alignment with the broader EMEA strategy. Liaise with the Amazon Europe / marketplace teams where relevant to drive best practices and consistency across countries. 4. Ecommerce Operations, Analytics & Collaboration Work closely with the Ecommerce Associate / merchandising teams to ensure product content and pricing are correctly reflected for your accounts. Support sales forecasting and demand planning inputs for your accounts (baseline, promo uplift, new launches). Analyze sales, profitability, and promotional performance regularly and share clear, data-based recommendations. Contribute to internal reporting (weekly/monthly business reviews, QBRs) with concise updates on key wins, risks, and next actions. Stay up to date on ecommerce trends, competitor activity, and platform changes, and share insights with the wider team. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 2–4 years of experience in ecommerce, key account management, digital sales, or related commercial roles (pure player or marketplace experience is a strong plus). Experience with German ecommerce accounts (pure players / marketplaces) is a plus, but not mandatory. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong motivation to grow in ecommerce: curious, proactive, and eager to learn new tools, platforms, and ways of working. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment with changing priorities. EDUCATION & SKILLS Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, Ecommerce, or a related field; or equivalent work experience. Native or near-native German is strongly preferred; fluent English is required. Additional European languages are a plus, for example Dutch. Strong soft skills: Growth mindset and ambition to develop within ecommerce High sense of ownership and accountability Team spirit and ability to work globally and cross-functionally Problem-solving and structured thinking Clear and concise communication (written and verbal) COMPUTER / TECHNICAL SKILLS Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook is required. Experience with e-commerce tools/platforms (e.g., Amazon Vendor Central / Seller Central, marketplaces backends, PIM tools, analytics dashboards) is a plus; training will be provided where needed. Comfortable working with data (sales reports, pricing checks, stock reports) and turning insights into actions. WORK ENVIRONMENT Based in our Kids2 Amsterdam office. Hybrid working model; minimum of 3 days per week in the office during core days (Tuesday to Thursday), up to 5 days as needed. Occasional travel within Europe may be required (e.g., customer meetings, internal team meetings, trade shows, warehouse visits). We offer competitive pay, flexible hours, and generous benefits. Plus, to keep things fun (because we are all kids at heart), we offer a host of team member activities and philanthropic efforts throughout the year and company-wide awards and recognition for a job well done!
