Description Job Description: Account Manager Job Summary: The Logistics Account Manager is responsible for ensuring seamless communication and operational execution between clients, vendors, and internal teams. This role focuses on managing key customer relationships, monitoring service and cost performance, and handling escalated issues while maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and analytical, with strong communication and relationship management skills. Key Responsibilities: Relationship Management & Customer Support Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors Respond to escalated customer and vendor email correspondence in a professional and timely manner Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to support long-term client satisfaction and retention Performance Monitoring & Reporting Monitor trends in service levels, cost performance, and profitability for assigned accounts Create and maintain internal and customer-facing reports to track KPIs and ensure service standards are met Maintain and update Customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed Quoting & Rate Management Prepare and respond to email quote requests for shipments Submit and manage quotes through customer web portals Coordinate with carriers to obtain volume-based pricing Apply appropriate customer rates during order processing Operational Execution Accurately enter and manage customer orders in the system Schedule and confirm appointments with carriers and consignees Validate AM data and ensure timely follow-up on critical shipment activities Proactively manage in-transit delays, including coordinating intercepts and recovery plans Facilitate smooth shift transitions by documenting key needs and handing off unresolved items Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management preferred Proven customer service and relationship management skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools Experience with TMS and customer web portals preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Work Environment: Full-time, [on-site/hybrid/remote – choose one] Standard business hours with some flexibility required to support customer needs
