The Account Manager Fiber/Sensing/Automation is a professional who has extensive experience in the Fiber optic network and Fiber sensing market.
Business development and deep technical skills are a must as you will be interacting with operations, project management, engineering as well as external business partners and customers. This position requires a person who can demonstrate strong knowledge in Fiber network structure as well as having a dedicated know-how in Sensorics applications and a passion for automation/cloud solution.
This Account Manager can operate under minimal supervision, is innovative and self-motivated, a fast learner and is highly competent in developing and executing our VIAVI sales strategy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop business relationships and acquire new business opportunities within the expanding Fiber and Sensing market in Germany.
  • Implement sales strategy for Fiber and Sensing system business and focus on local service and energy providers, key system integrators as well as their corresponding eco-system.
  • Understand the customer’s business pains especially on critical infrastructure topics.
  • Define and orchestrate the sales tactics in close relationship with the presales team, partners and the partner ecosystem.
  • Work closely with the account teams, partners and customers to drive the strategy and delivery of new solutions, products and services.
  • Use the internal tools and provide accurate and timely sales forecasts.
  • Anticipate any change in the market, customer needs and requirements that could impact the overall revenue target.
  • Empathic personality with ability to develop strong relationships with customers at both sides, engineering and senior management level.
  • Helpful is project management experience and good presentation skills.

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in Electrical / Telcom Engineering / Information.
  • Technology and a minimum of 5 years industry experience.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in Fiber Optics.
  • Deep knowledge and network in Fiber Sensing market.
  • Affinity for IT topics.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics).
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and to be effective in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong communication skills in German and English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team player skills.
