Description:

Global Environmental & Industrial Response (GEIR) is hiring an Account Manager that will manage ensuring the quality standards of Global, and the customer’s expectations are met or exceeded. This position handles developing and nurturing client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring the successful delivery of our services.

Global provides heavy industrial cleaning services to utilities, phosphate/ mining, chemical plants, pulp & paper, and manufacturing facilities with specialization in hydroblasting and vacuum truck work. We provide customized solutions for sulfuric acid facilities, including preventative maintenance and repairs and full turn-key turnaround services. We also offer a variety of waste processing and handling services to ensure that waste generated from client sites, is collected, transported, and disposed of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Responsible for expanding the business at the account, identifying and developing other business “opportunities” outside of the account.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients.
  • Understand each client’s unique needs, challenges, and objectives.
  • Manages the account within the guidelines established by the customer contact as well as the policies and procedures established by Global.
  • Responds to customer related complaints and inquiries and assists with resolving them through operations.
  • Responsible for obtaining a PO for any and all work performed which is outside the scope of the contract.
  • Provides information related to contract negotiations, as well as being an active participant.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, project documentation, and reports within the Global CRM system which is to include but not limited to client activity, weekly schedule, opportunities, and quotes.
  • Responsible for daily meetings with the customer to review the status of the work schedule.
  • Responsible for developing the supervisory staff to meet the management needs of the account and to provide adequate supervisory backup.
  • Demonstrates a considerate, approachable, and constructive attitude toward fellow employees and the customer.
  • Report compliance issues to the proper Operation Manager(s).
  • Attend and participate in project meetings.
  • Coordinates and collaborates closely with Superintendents to give updates on staff.
  • Assist with corrective actions at all offices to ensure a high quality of performance is always maintained.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the industrial and environmental sectors.
  • Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients and expand the client base.
  • Collaborate with the operations & project management team to ensure the successful execution of projects, meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Provide clients with regular project updates and maintain open communication channels.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to industrial services and environmental cleanup.
  • Be able to provide clients with expert advice on industry-related issues.
  • Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and quotations to clients.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions to secure profitable contracts.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance, ensuring profitability.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to address any financial issues or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, project documentation, and reports.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or science preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience managing and scheduling employees to perform maintenance, industrial and environmental services required.
  • Experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.
  • Computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, emails, etc.)
  • Prior experience in an industrial / plant setting required.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and be able to interface with employees in all levels of the company.
  • Professional oral and written interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to carry/move up to 50 Lbs.
  • Ability to perform manual labor in an outside setting.
  • Required to work in confined spaces, elevated spaces, hot, wet, cold, and foul-smelling environments during an 8–12-hour shift while holding various sizes of vacuum hoses.
  • Ability to use a respirator in environments where there may be exposure to chemicals, fumes, etc.
  • Ability to work over an 8-hour shift if required. May be called out for Emergency response.
  • Maintain valid Driver License
  • Preferred 8 years of hands-on experience and operation with tools / heavy equipment.
  • Ability to travel as necessary to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and a team player.
