Job Title: Sales Account Manager
Reports To: Business Unit Manager
JOB SUMMARY: The Sales Account Manager will manage and deliver OEM growth development opportunities supporting the Business Unit operations. Responsible for the maintenance and growth of existing and/or new accounts with targeted clients. This includes supporting daily management of program commercial issues, including production, prototype, and service, as well as growing existing business at a profitable level, developing business partner relationships and identify growth areas/opportunities with existing accounts. Aligns business plan and targets for Groupe Plastivaloire North America with Groupe Plastivaloire strategy.

MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATIONAL & TRAINING:

  • Proven track record of new business growth.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering is required.
  • Minimum of five years of direct experience leading a cross-functional automotive OEM sales team.
  • Proven OEM sales experience for a Tier 1 or 2 automotive supplier.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office is required
  • Solid understanding of the complete sales cycle process from prospecting to closing
  • Experience independently developing and executing innovative strategies for new sales lead generation
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines is required
  • Effective verbal, non-verbal, negotiation and written communication skills are required
  • Ability to sustain a high degree of professionalism in interacting with internal and external customers is required
  • Effective attention to detail, problem solving, analytical and organizational skills is required
  • Experience in a manufacturing organization is preferred
  • Open to travel

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed financial objectives including cost analysis, margin enhancement and feedback to internal teams for pricing strategies.
  • Accountability for customer satisfaction and New Business RFQ responses.
  • Drive Change Management system for cost accumulation, pricing development, price submission and tracking commercial issues to closure.
