Toray Advanced Composites (TAC) is a leading supplier of advanced composite materials for the aerospace, sporting goods, motorsport, and industrial markets. You will find our thermoset composite products on nearly every satellite, space launch vehicle, unmanned aircraft, military and commercial aircraft in production today. TAC also provides composites materials to industrial and recreational applications including mountain bikes, medical prosthetics, and sports equipment. Our thermoplastic prepregs, known in the industry as Cetex®, are found in a wide range of commercial and military aircraft, including large wing structures and interior applications like seats and galleys. Our Cetex products are available in unidirectional tape or fabric form in a variety of engineered thermoplastic resins including PEEK, PPS, PEI as well as a full line of performance thermoplastics including Nylon, PET, HDPE, and PP. SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS: The Account Manager III is responsible for maximizing Toray’s market share (Toray Advanced Composites and Composites Materials America) and sales opportunities by promoting product growth and providing development, management, and account direction for assigned accounts/market share. This role will keep the marketing and sales objectives and key performance indicators at the forefront for customer segments in the assigned territory. Additionally, this person will work towards strengthening the business relationship and maximizing the penetration opportunities with additional focus on The Boeing Company, Northwest and limited national focus, by providing full potential with value-add solutions in all product categories. Lastly, this role is accountable for new and emerging strategic business creation as well as building account relationships at all organizational levels. MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS: * Manage current sales and the development of new sales to achieve the optimum balance of profitability and market share * Strategic thinking and create a strategic business plan that reflects a focus on The Boeing Company’s business objectives and strategies to align to those objectives with ours * Ability to recognize the customer’s need and apply this knowledge in business and sales growth and sales retention for the client * Manage by leading the execution of new product design-in and qualification for key OEM accounts with a Boeing Company focus, including developing customer product specifications, establishing, and managing customer product qualification of new products, and managing the ramp-up of new product deliveries * Successfully seek out and qualify leads and effectively profile new accounts * Develop and improve sales strategies to target existing and potential accounts * Work to revenue targets and KPI's as set by the department/company * Oversee and manage the interaction and account satisfaction with the company * Develop strong relationships with the customer at various levels and internal relationships within the company to strengthen the overall relationship * Ensures all Customer and Account-Facing services are provided in a consistent and timely fashion * Resolves or appropriately escalates customer service issues in conjunction with operations including enlisting the support of Quality, Expert Services, Procurement and Production * Coordinate with the compliance department on knowing and understanding regulations and the implication to customer impact * Prepare and support forecasts, pricing documentation, presentations of customer reports with meaningful analytics, trending and recommendations for program improvement based on findings * Lead, direct, and guide the organization toward material qualification targets which assures an expanded sales base and increased customer penetration * Provide direction and customer feedback to: R&D for new required products, Technical Service on qualifications and product related technical problems, and Production and Quality Assurance on current material performance * Assess and contribute to the following: (1) direction of new product development activities, (2) establishment of market pricing and contract negotiations, and (3) the path of product qualification to key programs * Provide a high level of support to our Inside Sales, Quality, and Production teams in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding business * Build partnerships with consumers and Toray to resolve service issues within a timely manner * Accountable for overall retention of accounts in assigned book of business EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor’s degree is preferred however Associates or equivalent experience is required * More than 5 years of experience in customer service, inside sales or account management * Knowledge of composite materials, properties, production, qualifications, and processes, as well as, applications, part design engineering and material production and fabrication is essential * Sensitivity for cost methods and financials is required * Strong presentation, time management and teamwork skills * Comfortable interfacing and developing professional relationships with internal and external customers * Knowledge about ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX) and previous ERP experience preferred * Experience with MS Office suite * Clear understanding of international regulations and international shipment processes * Ability to solve practical problems and resolve customer issues effectively and efficiently * Attention to detail in composing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines * Knowledge of measurements conversion and weights in metric and standards * Maintaining work areas in a neat, orderly and safe manner * Ability to travel nationally and internationally as needed * Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbally) in English * Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds * Follow safety procedures for PPE (personal protection equipment) * Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple items Salary range: $160,000 - $190,000/year Toray Advanced Composites employment practices offer equal employment opportunity and does not discriminate against its employees or applicants because of race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, or any other basis prohibited by law.
