  • A minimum of 4-5 years of related account management experience in PR; agency background is an asset.
  • Post-secondary degree in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, or related field.
  • Experience managing various clients and junior staff is a must.
  • Previous experience leading and executing successful PR campaigns, events, and social media strategies. Please provide case studies where relevant.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong creative design and conceptualization skills to bring big ideas to life.
  • Highly organized, with amazing time management skills, and the ability to take the lead and manage multiple accounts and clients. You must be able to work within and thrive in a fast-paced environment that has well-established and often tight deadlines.
  • An eager, go-getter attitude, who’s looking to grow, and is able to confidently take the lead and initiative.
  • The ability to work in collaborative space as a team player is a must.Experience providing budgeting and managing financial accounts of various clients, accurately and honestly.

  • Must be able to commute to and work 3 times a week from our Toronto Office, on mandated days Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 9-5pm.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

LANGTON is currently looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Account Manager to come on board our team of PR professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing creative and strategic plans and executing a variety of campaigns and projects from start to finish. They will work closely with a variety of clients, understanding and managing client’s needs and expectations, as well as overseeing junior staff. We are seeking someone with a minimum of 4-5 years of PR experience (agency experience is an asset), as well as previous experience supporting brands and managing multiple clients and junior staff.

Daily responsibilities of the Account Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts and clients, all client and PR communications, and execute a variety of initiatives and campaigns on a continuous and ongoing basis.Develop and maintain a strong relationship with clients on behalf of the agency and build an in-depth knowledge of the client’s brand, ethos, and PR priorities. Manage PR calendar planning with clients and the rest of the PR team.
  • Lead impactful and strategic client projects from conceptualization,development, execution, and monitor progress and report metrics and results. Initiate check-ins and provide updates, results analysis, yearly reports, and strategies for continued growth.
  • Initiate and execute influencer campaigns, media pitches, press kit mailers, and events, desksides & activations, conducting outreach and materials/venue sourcing. This also includes working directly with a variety of vendors, managing client budgets, and working with the kit production manager.
  • Develop strategic and creative written communications for a variety of client projects, including E-Blast & Suggestion Lists, Mailer Insert Materials, Event Invites, Pitches & Decks, and Campaign reports.
  • Provide support, and when required, initiate and lead client meetings (bi-weekly/monthly) to fully understand clients wants and needs.
  • Delegate tasks to coordinators and interns based on current client projects (within reason), while also taking initiative when needed to conduct executional tasks to monitor and ensure strategic plan is being implemented.
  • Manage account coordinators and interns, and offer training, mentorship, and constructive feedback, to foster development and growth.
  • Work with the Senior team to ensure client expenses and budgets are being managed, accurately and honestly. Ensure that ledgers are being updated consistently, so that clients can be provided with up-to-date and efficient updates.
  • Stay on top of PR, social and digital media trends, and lead with a “social media first” mentality for all client activations and campaigns
