About the job


  1. **Key responsibilities**Retail account management*
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with assigned national retail accounts and maintain regular, professional communication with buyers, category teams, retail operations teams and store stakeholders.
  • Build trusted working relationships across retailer head offices and store networks, ensuring requests, actions and issues are followed through to completion.
  • Prepare for and participate in regular account meetings, sales reviews, planning sessions and operational discussions.
  • Maintain clear account plans, meeting notes, action registers and customer records within the company's CRM and reporting systems.
  • Identify account growth opportunities and provide recommendations to the Sales Director for strategic or commercial consideration.


  • 2.Orders, stock and forecasting*Coordinate purchase orders, product availability, delivery timing and retailer requirements with supply chain, logistics, finance and customer service teams.
  • Monitor open orders, backorders and delivery performance, escalating risks early and communicating accurate updates to customers.
  • Support demand forecasting by gathering retailer forecasts, promotional expectations, sales trends and store-level feedback.
  • Monitor sell-in, sell-through, stock-on-hand, weeks of cover and product performance, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Assist with EDI, retailer portals, new-line forms, product data, item setup and other account administration.


  • 3. Product launches, promotions and retail executionCoordinate new product launches and ranging implementation across online and physical retail channels.
  • Work with retailers and internal marketing teams to deliver agreed promotional plans, campaigns, product content and launch activities.
  • Coordinate display stock, demonstration units, point-of-sale materials, merchandising requirements and store communications.
  • Conduct store visits to review product presentation, stock availability, staff knowledge, competitor activity and execution standards.
  • Support retail events, trade shows, demonstrations and seasonal sales activities as required.


  • 4. Training and product supportDeliver engaging product and sales training for retailer head-office teams, state teams and store staff.
  • Help retail staff understand product selection, key technology, installation, customer qualification, warranty processes and common customer questions.
  • Coordinate training schedules, venues, demonstration equipment and supporting materials with retailer and internal stakeholders.
  • Gather retailer and customer feedback and share practical insights with sales, product, marketing and after-sales teams.


  • 5. Issue resolution and internal coordination*Act as the central coordinator for day-to-day account issues involving orders, freight, invoices, claims, displays, product information and after-sales support.
  • Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, operations, finance, logistics, technical support and service partners to resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain ownership of open actions and provide customers with clear progress updates until resolution.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly account reports covering sales, orders, stock, forecasts, promotions, risks, opportunities and agreed actions.
  • Track performance against account targets and agreed launch or promotional objectives.
  • Support the preparation of range reviews, business reviews, promotional proposals, pricing files and retailer presentations.
  • Ensure approved pricing, promotional funding and commercial arrangements are implemented accurately; refer negotiations or material changes to the Sales Director.



  • *Experience and qualifications*At least two years' experience in account management, retail sales, supplier management or a related commercial role.
  • Experience working with Bunnings, Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi or another large Australian national retail chain is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience managing retailer relationships, orders, promotions, product launches and operational follow-through.
  • Experience in consumer electronics, power garden, outdoor living, home improvement, appliances, hardware, technology or another relevant consumer-product category is preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and CRM or account-management systems.
  • Current Australian driver's licence and the ability to travel regularly.
