You will be responsible for driving the growth of our Research business, acquiring new customers, expanding existing ones, and representing all relevant product categories in Biosciences, including molecular-, protein-, and cell biology for commercial use applications. Your actions should align with our growth expectations established in the annual operating plan. Location: This role requires the Account Manager to be based in Berlin; candidates not currently residing should be willing to relocate within three months. This position is home office–based. Discover Impactful Work In this role, you will support our customers across the academic market by driving sales of life sciences research consumables and instruments. A Day in the Life: Sales of life sciences research consumables and instruments to the academic market. Maintain and develop customer relationships with procurement teams and scientists. Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets and identify new opportunities in the assigned territory. Strategically develop key accounts through account planning and collaboration with cross-functional partners. Strengthen internal network connections to ensure excellent customer experiences. What to expect: Drive growth within assigned territory through new and existing customer engagement Represent broad Biosciences product categories across molecular, protein, and cell biology Implement and maintain strategic account plans Deliver an excellent customer experience through strong internal collaboration Pursue and convert new business opportunities Manage time effectively to meet quarterly and annual goals Keys to Success: Education M.A./M.Sc or equivalent experience; preferred bachelor’s degree in biology/life science field. Experience Experience in sales in the Life Sciences market or comparable professional experience. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities General knowledge of assigned Biosciences product portfolio and customer segment required. Analytical and business planning skills. Distinct time-management capability. Strong capabilities to interface successfully with all customer types, both in person and virtually. Ability to successfully contribute to a dedicated team. Positive demeanor and desire to succeed. Strong self-motivation to find new business. High degree of flexibility in adapting to an evolving business environment. Digital literacy in MS Office. Valid driving license. Proficiency in English and German; additional languages are an advantage.
