Description

Altruck International Truck Centres is seeking an experienced and motivated Account Manager to join our New Truck Sales team at our Kitchener location (48 Ardelt Avenue).

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled Sales Professional to join our team, focusing on building and nurturing relationships with existing and new customers in the medium to heavy duty truck industry in Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on sales opportunities, driving revenue growth through the sale of new trucks and related services.
As a key member of our sales team, you will deliver exceptional customer service, manage customer accounts, and develop new business opportunities to drive growth and profitability.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in transportation or construction, with a strong track record of success
  • A degree or certification in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (desirable)
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with excellent business acumen, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills (written and verbal) with the ability to influence and motivate others
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Superior problem-solving skills to achieve win-win solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Valid G-class license required; OMVIC Sales License and DZ license are assets

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in equipment sales, logistics, or a similar industry
  • Knowledge of commercial trucking regulations and industry trends
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, including responding to requests for proposals and prospecting for new business
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Present our products and services to customers through face-to-face meetings, video conferencing, phone calls, and email
  • Generate leads and schedule appointments, utilizing internal resources to identify new business opportunities
  • Manage a sales pipeline and ensure all sales information is up-to-date using Salesforce CRM software
  • Spend significant time traveling throughout Ontario to interact with customers (up to 50% of work time)
  • Manage multiple sales engagements simultaneously
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge for manufacturer-specific trucks and software
  • Assist customers with vehicle ordering and post-sale service needs, including warranty claims
  • Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations and internal health and safety policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
