Location: New York City (In-person, 5 days/week) Employment Type: Full-Time Experience: 2–5 years Visa: Not available We are hiring our first dedicated Account Manager — a blueprint hire who will define how the AM function scales. This is not pure customer support. This is revenue ownership. A fintech infrastructure company building autonomous employee management systems across payroll, tax compliance, benefits, IT, and HRIS. The company has: 5x+ revenue growth year-over-year Hundreds of millions in payments processed 1,000+ customers Scaling from 40 → 100 employees this year Strong investor backing The product is AI-first and designed to replace legacy incumbents in payroll and back-office automation. You will: Own ~30–40 accounts Drive retention and expansion (~50/50 split) Run executive QBRs Identify churn risk proactively Convert monthly customers to annual Drive multi-million-dollar portfolio growth Help build the AM playbook from scratch This is a revenue role with expansion targets. What You’ll Own Quarterly expansion targets Retention and gross revenue protection Executive-level business reviews Opportunity identification and deal execution Customer health monitoring Cross-functional escalation with Support/Product/Engineering Building scalable AM processes Must-Have Requirements 2–3+ years B2B sales or account management Experience owning a book of business Proven retention + expansion performance Executive QBR experience Fintech background (strong preference) Strong business acumen Highly organized, startup pace comfort NYC-based, 5 days in-office Nice to Have Experience at modern fintech companies (Ramp, etc.) Built AM/CS processes from zero Strong expansion performance track record Strong product/technical fluency
Responsibilities
The Account Manager will own a portfolio of 30-40 accounts, focusing on driving revenue growth through retention and expansion. They will also be responsible for conducting executive business reviews and building scalable account management processes from scratch.
