We have an exciting new role available to join our Opal Specialty Packaging business as an Account Manager.
Opal Specialty Packaging New Zealand provides tailored cardboard-based packaging solutions for small, medium and large businesses. They offer a fully integrated packaging development service based on circular economy principles. Our sustainable corrugated cardboard packaging solutions cover every application you can think of from smartly designed bespoke boxes and vibrant digital print to high end corrugated cardboard point-of-purchase displays for retailers.
This role is a customer facing role managing a portfolio of existing Point of Sale customer accounts as well as focusing on new business development in Auckland. This is a hybrid role with a 70/30 split between account management and new business development.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

  • Developing and managing strategic individual accounts, building a strong rapport with a variety of different stakeholders within the customer
  • Prospecting and winning new customer business
  • Understanding critical customer needs and developing and implementing individual client value propositions (e.g. pricing, flexibility, service, uniqueness of product)
  • Working cross-functionally within the business and co-ordinating technical support, value engineering, quotes and samples to ensure customers’ expectations are managed
Responsibilities
  • Sales and/ or marketing and supply chain experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
  • Previous experience in the NZ and/or Global fibre packaging or distribution industries is desirable
  • Experience in POS / POP Sectors would be advantageous
  • Well-developed sales hunter experience with a good track record of bringing in new business opportunities
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • A proven track record of delivering results and ensuring key objectives are met
  • A collaborative approach which will foster strong working relationships across internal teams to deliver the best result for the custome
