We’re currently looking for a Account Manager, Personal Insurance who will work with producers and carriers to provide exceptional service to our clients. What’s the work like? Market new and renewal business Assist in the sales process of personal insurance products Enter and maintain underwriting and marketing information in appropriate database Receive, document and process all insureds’, producers’ and insurance companies’ requests for service and submit information to insurance companies in a timely manner Conduct annual coverage surveys and recommend/sell additional coverage and/or increases in limits Review new business, renewals and endorsements to ensure items are received as ordered while following agency procedures Obtain expiration dates for additional policies on all mono-line accounts Maintain accurate and complete client activity information in the agency management systems Incorporate the capabilities of the agency management systems into daily workflow Maintain knowledge of current underwriting and policy provisions, including binding authority, of contracted insurance carriers Ensure confidentiality is maintained in the collection, maintenance, and dissemination of highly sensitive information, including Protected Health Information (PHI) and credit information Maintain effective communication with producers to keep them informed of all important activities on respective accounts Service personal lines accounts in a manner to eliminate gaps in coverage to reduce E&O exposures Maintain, develop, and pursue technical knowledge through newsletters, bulletins, seminars, trade publications or other educational opportunities Maintain regular and consistent attendance Any other special projects and duties as assigned Okay, so what’s in it for me? A valid Driver’s License and a Resident Property & Casualty Agent’s license (or the commitment to obtain one). Professional designations such as AAI, CIC, CPCU, or CISR are preferred. A strong understanding of personal lines insurance products, coverage, and rating procedures. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with sharp attention to detail and a respect for confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office technology, including computers, phones, and copiers. Dependable and consistent, with a commitment to professional conduct, adherence to company policies, and maintaining positive working relationships. High school diploma or equivalent required 3+ years of personal lines or insurance product experience preferred.
