ABOUT THE JOB

We are currently looking for a talented and self-motivated Account Managers to join our outside Sales Team to establish a new sales territory in Northern British Columbia. This role is critical to sustaining our success and driving future growth in the region.
The Account Manager will be responsible for generating new business, securing long-term client relationships, and expanding our customer base across Northern BC. This is a full-time, mid-senior level role with strong potential for growth within a leading industrial supply company.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, a proven ability to build strong client relationships, and a passion for sales in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong desire to contribute meaningfully to the success of the Sales Team and the Company
  • Proven track record as a sales professional, ideally within the safety or industrial distribution industry
  • Solid product knowledge and/or relevant industry experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and account management skills

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience
  • Industry knowledge and experience in safety and construction consumables (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territory and existing client base.
  • Professionally represent the company and uphold its reputation in all client interactions.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products, ensuring competitive pricing and accurate selection.
  • Introduce and demonstrate new products to clients, highlighting key features and benefits.
  • Travel within the assigned sales area to engage with current and prospective customers, building brand awareness and strengthening relationships.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, including contact information, delivery details, and upcoming project requirements.
  • Create and manage account plans to ensure consistent client engagement and retention.
  • Foster strong, professional relationships with customers, vendors, and partners.
  • Organize and coordinate client meetings, events, and appointments to support business development efforts.
  • Recommend product upgrades or complementary services that align with client needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
