Description

ACCOUNT MANAGER 1, 2, 3

We’re Stoltz Marketing Group, a globally recognized agency in Boise, Idaho. Stoltz is a marketing agency that offers a rare combination of data, insights and emotional intelligence to make impactful work for hardworking brands. There aren’t many agencies like us, literally: We’re one of less than 1% of US agencies that are woman-owned. But that’s just one of many reasons we stand out from the rest. And our work speaks for itself: We create future-proof brands and bold campaigns that don’t miss.

YOU’D BE A GREAT FIT IF:

  • You have a degree in marketing, advertising, journalism or a related field—or 2-4 years of experience.
  • You’re truly passionate about marketing.
  • You’re a natural relationship-builder who sees clients as true partners.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently—speaking up when it counts, with both clients and teammates.
  • You enjoy presenting, pitching ideas, and helping grow agency business.
  • You’re tech-savvy, quick to learn tools like Google Slides (and bonus: Workamajig).
  • You can juggle research, prep a deck, and host a client event—all before lunch.
  • You’re curious, adaptable, and always looking for ways to improve.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and keep cool when things get busy.
  • You’re organized, detail-oriented, and a strong writer.
  • You’re the kind of person who makes a new contact at every networking event.
  • You follow marketing and tech trends and bring fresh ideas to the table.
  • You’ve worked with budgets and understand the importance of client profitability.
Responsibilities

ACCOUNT MANAGER 1 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the main point of contact for your clients—build trust, listen well, and make sure they feel valued.
  • Learn to manage your book of business with an eye on profitability, growth, and avoiding write-offs.
  • Present to the management team on all client activities and budgets on a quarterly basis.
  • Support the Director of Accounts and the management team on client strategy and planning.
  • Stay up to speed on your clients’ industries and market trends.
  • Help shape creative ideas that drive client success and agency growth.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with clients, teammates, and key partners.
  • Keep clients updated on project status, budgets, and recommendations.
  • Clearly communicate client needs to the team so work gets done right, on time, and on budget.
  • Collaborate with project managers and coordinators to ensure smooth, on-time delivery.
  • Make sure all work meets Stoltz’ quality standards and client expectations.

Account Manager 2 Responsibilities (Includes all AM1 responsibilities, plus…)

  • Take a more proactive role in spotting opportunities and pitching smart, strategic ideas—media, PR, campaigns, and beyond.
  • Team up with creative leads to present and sell in innovative solutions that move the needle for clients.
  • Help with estimates and SOWs and manage change orders and budget updates with clients.

Account Manager 3 Responsibilities (Includes all AM2 responsibilities, plus…)

  • Own the business side—drive profitability, growth, and client retention with minimal oversight.
  • Have a solid understanding of traditional and programmatic media, placement, and analytics.
  • Consistently identify new ideas and solutions that enhance results for your clients.

Note: For all levels, the responsibilities are not exhaustive, and other duties may be assigned as necessary for team and/or company success. Candidates will be placed in the level commensurate with their combination of skills, talents, and experience.

THIS ROLE MIGHT NOT BE FOR YOU IF:

  • You prefer rigid job structures over wearing multiple hats.
  • The word “sales” makes you cringe.
  • Managing multiple clients/projects at once overwhelms you.
  • You need heavy oversight—our team values independence.
  • You don’t enjoy collaboration, feedback, or a fast-paced environment.
