Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience as a Sales Account Manager with a track record of both hunting and retaining business.
  • You will have worked selling B2B and have experience of navigating large, complex clients as well as smaller businesses.
  • You will have a demonstrable track record of success.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of hotel and travel sectors
  • Ability to travel (primarily within the UK but also Baltic states)
  • Previous work experience within the hotel and travel Industries (desirable)
  • Driving license desirable
Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Ensuring that STR maintains its position as the market leader in global hotel benchmarking, you will be responsible for sustaining and driving the growth of hotel participants and wider industry clients from the agreed strategy for the region. You will own the full sales cycle – prospecting, lead qualification and nurturing, closing the sale, onboarding, training and subscription renewal. This role offers a variety of daily tasks, which help us to give our clients an effective and efficient service whilst protecting our data integrity and quality.
You will be responsible for supporting and building relationships with clients. As you will be in regular contact with clients (both external and internal) strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills are required. You will be an expert for your region, providing valuable insights to clients that build their knowledge of benchmarking and the value derived from STR’s solutions.
Being highly organized and having attention to detail is essential in supporting the regional team to facilitate varied engagement activities with existing and prospective accommodation and industry clients. To be successful you will need to be confident in dealing with numbers and have a strong eye for detail, an understanding of hotel performance statistics is essential. Prior experience in one or more of managing accounts, sales lead generation and hospitality industry experience is an advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsibility to retain and grow revenues in your assigned territory by nurturing client relationships, identifying new stakeholders and interested parties to promote new opportunities for product sales
  • Identify opportunities for further data and revenue growth through new client acquisition, expanding STR’s client base to interested parties such as owners and management companies, local associations and vendors
  • Presentations to on-board and educate existing and new clients of STR’s products
  • Collaborate on market-level initiatives for new product launches, operational transitions and other company-wide initiatives e.g. Data and debt collection
  • Maintain Census and CRM to a high standard, tracking all field knowledge, sales activity and client engagement
  • Represent STR at client meetings, third party and industry conferences including delivering market data insight presentations at client and industry events
