About the opportunity We are looking for a client-obsessed Account Manager to join our growing Tokyo team and play a key role in driving success for performance-led campaigns in Japan. As an Account Manager for Outbrain Amplify, you’ll be the primary point of contact for some of Japan’s most exciting advertisers. You’ll own the full lifecycle of live campaigns, spanning strategic planning, technical optimization, and performance management, while building trusted client relationships that extend well beyond campaign delivery. Key Responsibilities Campaign Launch & Operational Management Oversee campaign setup within the Amplify dashboard, including conversion pixel implementation, targeting configurations, and managing spending caps/pacing. Monitor and optimize campaign performance in real-time to align with client KPIs (e.g., CPA, Leads, ROAS). Client Success & Strategic Consultancy Act as the primary post-sale contact, managing everything from onboarding new clients to fostering long-term partnerships. Conduct regular performance reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to deliver data-driven insights. Provide proactive consultancy on native advertising best practices to maximize campaign outcomes on the Amplify platform. Business Growth & Upselling Drive account scaling by identifying opportunities for A/B testing, content expansion, and the adoption of new platform features through daily communication. Analyze your book of business to identify growth opportunities within the content discovery space. Internal Collaboration & Troubleshooting Partner with Sales, Back Office, and Global Support teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Quickly troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with internal technical teams as needed. Requirements 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, media buying, or performance-led ad operations. Proven track record of working with revenue-based KPIs. Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive strategic recommendations from complex data sets. Excellent time management skills (ability to manage a portfolio of 10+ active accounts). Superior communication skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach. A "hunter" mindset for identifying upsell opportunities and growing existing accounts. Ability to thrive and self-manage in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Fluent in Japanese (Minimum JLPT N1) Business-level English (or a strong willingness to use and develop English proficiency in a professional setting). Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications) In-depth knowledge or hands-on experience with native advertising platforms (especially Outbrain Amplify). Prior experience in ad operations, including setup, monitoring, and advanced reporting. Understanding of the online publisher landscape in Japan. Knowledge of CPC models and conversion optimization strategies (tCPA/tROAS). Experience working with third-party measurement and tracking tools.
