Description

SPECIFICALLY, YOU WILL:

  • Works with their direct Sales Manager and Inside Sales Managers to develop IT Supplies sales strategies for their assigned book of business (BOB).
  • Trains and coaches Inside Sales teams on IT products, processes and buyers to increase their ability to access, persuade and close IT business.
  • Identify and close technology sales opportunities within existing inside sales accounts and identify new business accounts using consultative, value-based selling strategies to grow and penetrate technology business with small and mid-market accounts.
  • Set up technology standards lists to create loyal Staples technology customers.
  • Provide ongoing training to the inside account management team on how to identify and qualify technology opportunities.
  • Ensure that the IAM’s feel comfortable and confident discussing and broaching the subject of low tech commodity items.
  • Develop, nurture and grow manufacturer relationships and work with our key suppliers and other identified technology vendors to grow sales.
  • Work closely with internal partners and groups to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty throughout the ordering process.
  • Achieve IT products revenue and gross margin targets in defined division.
  • Achieve retention and penetration of IT products in existing OP accounts and new IT Accounts.
  • Target Segment – Small and Mid-Market Accounts.Experience with Apple technology as well and end-user laptop deployments, etc.

Responsibilities

Technology Program Account Manager (TPAM) serves as the subject matter expert for his/her assigned sales representatives and works with them to grow and develop the IT product category. The TPAM will collaborate in a joint sales motion with our Inside Account Managers (IAM) to drive and penetrate technology sales into our current customer base in addition to working with our new business acquisition team when applicable. TPAMs will support and sell our entire technology product and services offering, which includes but is not limited to computers, printers, headsets, memory, shredders, and many other office and desktop Technology products, along with procuring leads for IT services and MPS (managed print services) opportunities.
