As an Account Manager Trainee, you will drive sales growth by managing and nurturing client relationships across Verizon’s wireless, home, and business services. Your responsibilities include identifying new Verizon business opportunities, delivering customized solutions to meet customer needs, and ensuring exceptional service to maximize satisfaction and retention. You will work closely with cross-functional Verizon teams to implement strategic initiatives, monitor account performance, and consistently exceed sales targets.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNT MANAGER TRAINEE ROLE

  • Engage directly with Verizon clients to assess their needs and deliver customized solutions across wireless, home, and business services.
  • Proactively identify new sales opportunities while managing and growing a portfolio of existing Verizon accounts.
  • Conduct regular client check-ins to ensure satisfaction and uncover opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Verizon products and services.
  • Serve as the primary contact for Verizon clients, building strong, trust-based relationships through expert guidance and support.
  • Consistently meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales and account management goals for Verizon offerings.
  • Participate in daily team meetings and training sessions to sharpen skills and stay up-to-date with the latest Verizon product knowledge.
  • Accurately document and report all sales and account management activities within the CRM system to ensure transparent tracking and performance analysis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ACCOUNT MANAGER TRAINEE ROLE

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Up to 1 year of experience in sales, customer service, or client-facing roles with a proven history of achieving targets.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Results-driven with a strong work ethic and a competitive mindset focused on success.
  • Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for travel within the White Plains area.
