Location: Remote, but must be located in Sacramento area

ICF is seeking an experienced Account Manager to influence residential and commercial utility customers, property managers, distributors, retailers and contractors to identify energy efficiency opportunities and facilitate participation in energy efficiency programs in the Sacramento area. The Account Manager will provide sales, account management, and field support for contractors supporting customers considering upgrading and retrofitting electrical and natural gas equipment and systems. The position is home-based and will require weekly travel to meet with contractors, vendors, and customers in the Sacramento area and attend meetings in the Sacramento client office. The position will be responsible for building and maintaining an account base that achieves current year goals and builds future year pipeline.
The Account Manager position will be responsible for helping residential and commercial customers and trade allies understand the programs and incentives available to maximize their efficiency options. This will include working with end-users, dealers, and contractors to explain the benefits of efficiency measures and assisting customers through the enrollment process to achieve savings goals and establish repeat business through high quality customer service.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO HAVE (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 1+ years of experience in equipment or technology sales, engineering, and/or energy efficiency (years of experience may be substituted for education)
  • Must have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check

Responsibilities
  • Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with contractors, distributors, and customers daily.
  • Prepare status reports to accurately describe activities in the field and to monitor progress towards program goals on contractor/consultant participation and the completion of eligible projects.
  • Maintain strong ongoing communications with program participants to assess their needs and to receive feedback on their experience with the program.
  • Ensure projects are up to date in program tracking system based on communications with customer and contractors regarding project status and expected completion dates.
  • Provide or refer stakeholders to technical, administrative, and marketing assistance when needed or applicable.
  • Contribute to the deployment of program marketing and outreach campaigns.
  • Perform presentations and orientations to prospective property owners, property managers, customers, clients and contractors at industry conferences and association events.
  • Create and present weekly and monthly summary reports for the program manager, ICF leadership, and/or the client.
  • Coordinate with or follow up on program Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities such as field inspections and customer surveys, as appropriate.
  • Have a complete understanding of the programs you are representing and study other programs our clients offer to be a valued representative to all stakeholders.
  • Have and build upon your technical knowledge for the sectors you serve and especially on the measures that drive participation.
  • Understand the key business drivers of the sectors you serve and the stakeholders you interact with.
  • Contribute to the evolution of program strategies and the design of program features and services.
  • Meet individual goals assigned to you and contribute to team goals. Team goals are aligned with customer expectations.
