QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Accounting / Finance, with 4 to 6 years of professional experience
  • Strong analytic skills with the ability to extract, collect, organize and analyze data
  • Strong knowledge of business fundamentals and financial acumen
  • Prioritization and organization skills
  • Must have very good problem-solving ability
  • Effective communicator
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, Quantum, NAV and Tableau
  • Bilingual (English & French)

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS IN QUEBEC:

Intermediate level knowledge of English is necessary for aeronautical personnel to meet regulatory requirements, understand technical procedures and instructions, and document entries regarding work performed on the aeronautical product for customers outside Quebec

Responsibilities
  • AP data validation and accounting GL entries while matching purchase orders, receipts and supplier invoices in the system as well as issuing payments
  • Performs day-to-day financial transactions, including verification, classification, computation, posting and recording of accounts payable data
  • Support month-end tasks: preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis
  • Monitor AP mailbox, vendor statement analysis, and responding back to vendor’s inquiries
  • Identifies discrepancies and resolves billing issues and vendor payment issues including contacting the vendor
  • Monitor financial controls, accounting procedures and financial audit process
  • Support inventory reconciliation and identify discrepancies and provide recommendations
  • Work directly with stakeholders to ensure adequate cash balances are available for forecasted payments
  • Perform variety of general accounting support tasks as defined by management
