ACCOUNT RELATIONSHIP MANAGER – NEW YORK METRO (REMOTE WITH TRAVEL)

Territory: Manhattan, Bronx, Staten Island, and Northern New Jersey
Expected Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

JOB OVERVIEW:

BloomNet is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Account Relationship Manager to support and grow our network of floral partners in the New York Metro area, including Manhattan, Bronx, Staten Island, and Northern New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with existing customers, introducing new programs and services, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
This is a remote position, but the candidate must reside within or near the territory and be comfortable traveling up to 75% of the time.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2–3 years of experience in outside sales or account management.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% within the assigned territory.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Self-starter with strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Proven ability to build and nurture customer relationships.
  • Strong understanding of consultative, solution-based selling.
  • History of exceeding sales goals and closing deals.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
  • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred due to market demographics.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct both in-person and telephone meetings to showcase BloomNet’s programs.
  • Clearly articulate the value of BloomNet’s products and services to clients.
  • Strengthen and maintain relationships with current customers through a mix of in-person visits, virtual meetings, social media engagement, and referrals.
  • Follow up on quotes, leads, and project updates to ensure satisfaction and uncover additional business opportunities.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitive intelligence to effectively position BloomNet’s offerings.
  • Develop structured follow-up strategies for each opportunity to improve close rates.
  • Manage the entire sales process—from initial contact through contract closure.
  • Apply new insights and industry developments to refine sales strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity in CRM (Salesforce).
  • Provide timely reports on metrics, wins, and challenges to management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, customer service, and product development.
  • Participate in trade shows to promote brand awareness and engage with potential customers.
  • Share best practices and contribute to a positive, team-oriented sales environment.
