POSITION OVERVIEW
The Account Technician II processes and reviews invoice vouchers for the Fiscal Department. Coordinates with Fiscal Supervisors of the state-wide operations of the agency’s fiscal program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of two years of college and one year of technical accounting experience or four years of related clerical bookkeeping experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- One (1) year of experience in accounting techniques.
- One (1) year of experience in office methods and procedures.
- One (1) year of experience working with state or non-state accounting procedures.
- One (1) year of experience working with principles and functions of standard office accounting machines and equipment.
- Two (2) years of professional experience working with Enterprise Resource planning (ERP) software such as systems applications products (SAP), database management systems such as HANA, Statewide Accounting Management System (SAMS), excel, word, Outlook or other comparable software.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be requested or required/mandated to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime. This may require the ability to work evenings and weekends.
- This position is considered light work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(b)). Light work involves lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. This job may require a good deal of walking or standing, or involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls.

- Certain provisions of the revolving door restrictions contained in 5 ILCS 430/5-45 apply to this position.
