OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and analysis. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and supporting the organization’s financial health. The Accountant will work collaboratively with various departments to provide insights that drive strategic decision-making.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting, and financial management principles.
  • Experience in corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, governmental accounting, or public accounting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks related to financial services and auditing standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial reports accurately.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting financial information clearly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough account reconciliations, including balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Perform financial analysis, including cash flow analysis and forecasting to support budgeting efforts.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Possess a positive work ethic
