Aestec Services are currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join the team here in Gladstone.ABOUT US

  • 4–5 years’ finance and tax compliance experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Business (CA/CPA/CIMA highly regarded).
  • Strong skills in financial reporting, cashflow, P&L, and balance sheet.
  • Experience with Viewpoint Jobpac or similar ERP system.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel; exposure to BI tools (Power BI desirable).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Strong communication skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Construction or complex industry experience highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Daily banking, matching, coding, and reconciliations.
  • Monthly general ledger reconciliations.
  • Manage BAS, FBT, and payroll tax obligations.
  • Own the month-end accounting process.
  • Prepare accurate management reports.
  • Assist with annual budgets, asset management, and strategic planning.
  • Support project and cost administration including overhead allocation.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations and audits to ensure financial integrity.
  • Liaise with external accountants and auditors.
