We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our Finance team and support the financial health and operational success of our company.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team who works closely with our Corporate Controller. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, payroll, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of corporate finance principles.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA designation or working towards CPA is an asset)
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with QuickBooks/Sage or similar preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, and payroll processes.
  • Excellent understanding of corporate finance principles and practices.
  • Ability to perform account analysis, budgeting, auditing, and financial reporting.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for effective account reconciliation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Conduct auditing procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets to assist in strategic planning.
  • Utilize accounting software for financial management.
  • Oversee bookkeeping activities to maintain up-to-date records of transactions.
  • Analyze accounts and provide insights on financial performance and trends.
  • Assist in payroll processing and ensure accurate employee compensation records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial services initiatives.
