We are looking for a talented, energetic individual with a dedication to quality to join our growing Accounting team in Burnaby, B.C. The ideal candidate will have exposure and experience to full-cycle accounting environments and will be a versatile professional ready and able to assist in all tasks assigned as needed.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
  • Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger
  • Prepare and record bank and month-end journal entries.
  • Prepare accounts reconciliations on monthly basis.
  • Monthly Delivery of P&L with analysis to management
  • Quarterly development of quarterly financials for management review (and eventual board delivery)

    • Inclusive of P&L, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cashflow
  • Development of cashflow projections aligned with revenue and spend trends
  • Monthly analysis of inventory transactions and reporting on key trends
  • Process Biweekly payroll and record and update R&D employee hours
  • Additional general accounting support for the existing team, inclusive of AR and AP support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4-6 years experience in the full-cycle accounting environment
  • Knowledge of SAP and QuickBooks
  • MS Excel at intermediate level
  • College diploma or degree in accounting
  • Previous experience in accounting or other related fields
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
  • Detail and deadline-oriented
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Financial analysis abilities
  • Troubleshooting skills and multitasking ability
  • Excellent English business communication skills
