Description:
The Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant Assistant to support the Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in accounting and office administration, and will assist with daily accounting functions, maintain financial records, and handle general office duties. Key Responsibilities: • Assist with daily accounting tasks, including preparing journal entries, managing accounts payable/receivable, and reconciling accounts. • Support in the preparation of financial reports and statements. • Maintain and organize accounting files and records. • Process invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely and accurate manner. • Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations. • Prepare supporting documentation for audits and internal financial reviews. • Perform general office and administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing office supplies, and maintaining filing systems. • Assist in payroll processing and employee reimbursements as needed. • Communicate with vendors, clients, and other departments to resolve accounting-related queries. • Help prepare tax filings and other regulatory compliance documentation as directed by senior accounting staff.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting with office administration. • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). • Experience with accounting software QuickBooks, Xero and MYOB is a must. • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
