Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Reporting: - Prepare and complete month‑end financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements - Perform bank and account reconciliations - Manage daily cash flow and cash management reporting Day‑to‑Day Accounting Operations: - Oversee daily accounting functions including billing, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP) - Lead weekly check runs and special check runs as needed, including creation of positive pay upload files - Serve as backup coverage for daily billing activities - Set up new customers in the accounting system, including credit approvals (COD, credit card, credit limits up to $5,000) - Set up and maintain supplier records in Sage soon to be Netsuite Tax & Compliance - Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, including IFTA and Sales and Use Tax - Support compliance with ISO 9001 requirements as applicable Audit & Budget Support - Assist with the annual external audit process - Support the annual budget process by working with the Finance Manager to consolidate departmental budgets Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pontiac, MI.
