SUMMARY: Performs internal audits on county departments in accordance with governmental auditing standards to provide management with reasonable assurance that obligations and costs comply with the law, procedures and policies; assets are safeguarded against waste, loss, unauthorized use and misappropriation; revenues and expenditures, are recorded properly so that reliable financial and statistical reports can be prepared and accountability of assets is maintained; and programs are efficiently and effectively carried out. Serves as an important interdepartmental liaison. On a monthly basis reviews departmental revenue reports and prepares quarterly state court cost report.
The employee is required to be on duty before, during, and after natural disasters and emergencies, as directed by the Department Head.
