JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in various accounting software.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in public practice or corporate accounting
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP, Canadian tax laws, and compliance standards
  • Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, CaseWare, or other accounting software
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with clients directly
  • Working towards or holding a CPA designation (asset, but not mandatory)

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven work experience as an Accountant or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
  • Experience with account analysis, financial auditing, and financial services
  • Proficiency in using accounting software like Xero and QuickBooks
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
