OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within finance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance (e.g., AAT, ACCA) are preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and records in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
  • Utilise accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage to manage financial transactions and reporting.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into variances and trends.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights that support strategic planning.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to ethical standards.
