Schlegel Poultry is a family owned-business that has been operating in the Ontario agricultural industry for over 60 years focused on primarily poultry production.
We are looking for someone to join our accounting team who is passionate about combining their love for agriculture with their love for accounting.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

· Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance/accounting role in Canada
· Proficiency in Sage 50 and Microsoft Office Programs
· Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Willingness to work in an office environment full-time.
· Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

· Record day-to-day financial transactions in Sage 50
· Process accounts payable, reconcile statements and prepare cheque runs
· Record accounts receivable and apply customer payments
· Reconcile multiple bank accounts and manage cash flow
· Work closely with controller to complete month-end procedures
· Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned to support overall business functions
