Job Title: Accountant

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should be experienced in managing company accounts, VAT compliance, and preparing financial statements in accordance with UAE regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CA/ACCA is a plus)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the UAE
  • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax, and financial compliance standards
  • Proficient in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar) and MS Excel
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage)
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, events, and centers across the UAE

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in the education or training sector
  • Familiarity with handling event-based budgets and project accounting
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and trainer/vendor management
Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate books of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Generate and manage invoices, receipts, and payment records for clients, vendors, and partners
  • Handle VAT filing, returns, and compliance in line with UAE Federal Tax Authority requirements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
  • Monitor project budgets and expenses, including tracking payroll, transport, and event costs
  • Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies as needed
  • Support procurement and operations team with cost control and payment tracking
  • Assist in setting financial policies, controls, and systems to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain records for corporate tax compliance and assist with filings
  • Handle petty cash, advances, and reimbursements for team members
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and ensure data security
