Description

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • We are looking for a qualified or part qualified chartered accountant (either ICAS or ACCA) or an individual with experience of preparing statutory accounts within a practice environment.
  • Salary is dependent on the level of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience of reviewing accounts and providing training and guidance to staff.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage and develop client relationships.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation and review of statutory accounts for a wide range of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
  • Preparation and submission of Tax returns.
  • Actively engaging with clients and spending time with them, seeking to genuinely add value.
  • Providing support and guidance to clients to ensure best practice and efficient working.
  • Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
  • Identifying opportunities for the practice to add value to clients.
