Overview The Accountant is supporting the EMEA Accounting Team, which is responsible for the US GAAP books supervision of EMEA Legal Entities and the preparation and delivery of the Statutory Books in compliance with local and corporate policies. The Accounting Team has a key role in the delivery of all controllership activities in relation to the Legal Entities including Financial Accounting, Reporting and Internal Controls and supports business and accounting teams in all accounting matters, being the center of expertise. Responsibilities Support the Senior Accountant with Local Book completion in compliance with statutory and corporate policies (timely closing and reporting for local accounts). Support the Senior Accountant with the Reconciliation of local book accounts and local versus US GAAP books. Monitor account reconciliations in compliance with the Company’s Global Policies. Analyze balance sheet and income statements for Legal Entities within the scope of responsibility. Collaborate with Tax for appropriate Income Tax Accruals, Income Tax payments, Tax Cash forecasting, Year-End provisioning and Corporate Income Tax filing. Preparation and filing of country specific Financial Statistics. Participate in Company projects impacting the Legal Entities in scope. Support internal controls in line with SOX 404 as well as the Company’s Internal Control Standards manual. Assist the Senior Accountant in proving support to external and internal audit. Interact with other finance and accounting personnel through the organization. Qualifications University degree in Accounting/Finance. Minimum 3 years of accounting and financial reporting experience required. Previous experience in Big4 or multinational companies. Experience in US GAAP. Business proficiency in English is required. Another European language (such as French, German, Dutch) is an asset. Good Microsoft Office skills required. Good knowledge of SAP.
