The Accountant cum Auditor will oversee the financial health of the hospital by maintaining accurate records, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role also involves conducting internal audits to monitor the accuracy and integrity of financial records and operations, particularly in relation to cosmetic procedures.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESACCOUNTING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial Records:
  • Manage daily accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, budgets, and monthly/quarterly reports.
  • Oversee billing processes for cosmetic procedures and ensure timely payments from patients.
  • Expense Management:
  • Track operational expenses and ensure cost control without compromising service quality.
  • Handle procurement-related financial documentation and payment processing for hospital supplies.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, VAT filings, and healthcare financial regulations.
  • Work with the Dubai Health Authority (or relevant authority) to maintain proper financial standards.
  • Payroll:
  • Process staff salaries, manage benefits, and handle deductions in compliance with labor laws.

AUDITING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Internal Audits:
  • Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure compliance and identify discrepancies.
  • Review hospital revenue streams, including cosmetic surgery income, patient billing, and discount policies.
  • Evaluate staff compliance with financial procedures and policies.
  • Operational Audits:
  • Audit the financial performance of specific cosmetic services and procedures.
  • Analyze patient payment trends and identify areas for revenue improvement.
  • Risk Assessment and Fraud Detection:
  • Monitor potential risks such as fraudulent transactions or misuse of funds.
  • Implement controls to safeguard financial resources.
  • Reporting and Recommendations:
  • Prepare detailed audit reports for management, highlighting findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Propose corrective actions to address inefficiencies or non-compliance.
