Apt Resources is looking for a skilled Accountant to join the team of our client's mining operations in Angola. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to financial management. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports, and budget-versus-actual analyses. Monitor, control, and analyze project or departmental costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets and financial targets. Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing, collections, payments, and reconciliations. Oversee cash flow management to ensure sufficient liquidity and efficient use of funds. Support payroll processing to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant employee compensation. Conduct financial audits and reviews to ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements. Collaborate closely with operational teams to track financial performance and key metrics. Assist with tax compliance, filings, and statutory reporting requirements. Implement and continuously improve internal controls, accounting processes, and financial procedures. Perform all general accounting functions as required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control principles. Proficient in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in additional languages is a plus. USD 3000 - 4000(Net salary, after deduction of taxes) plus accommodation, food allowance, transport and other benefits

Responsibilities

The accountant will manage financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control for mining projects. They are also responsible for accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and ensuring regulatory tax compliance.
