QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a major in Accounting.
  • Minimum of two years of related accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Accountant is responsible for performing financial, accounting, and auditing functions to ensure compliance with Job Corps policies, PRH guidelines, and other applicable regulations. This role includes preparing financial statements, maintaining accounting records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budget preparation and financial reporting. The Accountant works closely with the Finance Manager to support overall financial operations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and journal entries.
  • Assist with payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
  • Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports for management review.
  • Assist in budget development, cost analysis, and financial planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all PRH, SOP, and DOL financial regulations.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting government billings.
  • Maintain documentation for financial audits and assist in internal and external audit processes.
  • Monitor and reconcile interdepartmental financial transactions.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to department managers as needed.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and recommend financial best practices.
  • Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of financial records and student financial transactions.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and industry standards.
