Description SUMMARY: Responsible for accounting procedures, policies, and practices including but not limited to generally accepted accounting principles and regulations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the balancing and reconciliation of specific general ledger accounts and the Federal Reserve Bank account. Responsible for Accounts Payable and maintaining the invoice database. Responsible for Fannie Mae investor accounting and reporting. Responsible for the remittance of member Federal and State backup withholding. Maintain fixed asset and pre-paid expense ledgers and related depreciation schedules and reports. Assist with the preparation of month-end financial statements and various management reports. Prepare and submit NCUA Call Report quarterly. Prepare and file business personal property tax forms annually. Report and remit Credit Union’s unclaimed property to the State of Indiana annually. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred. One year or more related experience or equivalent preferred. Proficient on database software, Excel, and Word. Excellent member service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow. Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
