As a General Accountant, you’ll report directly to the Controller and work closely with the Senior Accountant to provide essential support to the Finance and Accounting Department. You’ll complete month-end close process and play a role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and contributing to the overall success of the organization. You’ll gain valuable experience and contribute to a fast-paced and supportive work environment.

• Support month-end close processes across multiple entities
• Reconcile and manage assigned general ledger accounts, investigating variances and unusual items
• Prepare bank reconciliations
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including subledgers
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable transactions and reconciliations
• Perform month-end account reconciliations for multiple entities
• Assist with process improvement and automation of repetitive tasks using software tools
• Assist with the preparation of monthly accurate and timely financial statements, including consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
• Analyze company accounts and ensure compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures
• Prepare monthly reporting and remittances for sales taxes
• Prepare monthly journal entries, including payroll entries and reconciliation
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
• Provide information and support to third-party accountants for the preparation of sales tax/income tax returns and audits
• Assist in ad hoc reporting requirements and projects as neede
