The Accountant will be directly reporting to the Regional Finance Manager, providing general ledger support and control of daily accounting operations for several entities in EMEAI. The successful candidate will be a proactive accountant skilled in managing multiple priorities while performing daily and monthly accounting activities to generate timely, reliable, and accurate financial information. This is a permanent role and will be located in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain, Principality of Asturias, Spain (Hybrid). We are seeking a dynamic, quality-driven, and control-minded team player with a strong accounting background to join our regional finance team. This position presents a unique opportunity to enhance your financial expertise in a fast-growing, technology-driven multinational company. Your responsibilities will include: Support monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing cycles. Prepare journal entries necessary to complete accounting transactions and reconcile various general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Actively involved in the adequate execution of the internal controls, such as manual journal entries documentation and control, as well as reconciliation of the balance sheet and P&L accounts. Process payments in banks and book IC loan interest. Collaborate cross-functionally with business operations as necessary in ad-hoc requests or specific projects. Support to fulfill tax declarations. Support projects and continuous process improvement as required. Support internal and external audit engagements by assisting with annual external audits by preparing schedules, documenting and explaining procedures, and providing requested information as needed. The above tasks are part of the job scope. However, this is not an exhaustive list, and the successful candidate may be required to undertake other duties as assigned. Your profile To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and experience: 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance. 4+ years of work experience in Accounting or Finance. Strong working knowledge of financial and accounting processes. Independent work and attention to detail: Demonstrate self-direction, motivation, and a strong ability to learn, enabling independent completion of tasks with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent analytical and Excel skills, applying multi-disciplinary approaches using Microsoft Office and ERPs. English is a must. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills in Spanish; other languages like Dutch or French are a plus. Experience within a multi-cultural environment is a plus. Must work well under deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing tasks efficiently and effectively. Possess a hands-on mentality with a continuous mindset to challenge, improve, and optimize current processes. Good understanding of financial systems and a flexible person who adapts well to the constant change of a rapidly growing business, working at a pace.
