JOB DESCRIPTION: ACCOUNTING

Entourage X is looking to add an Accountant to its growing team! This key role will support the financial health of the organization by managing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial transactions. Responsibilities include overseeing payables and receivables, tax filings, preparing financial statements, budgeting, and conducting financial performance analyses.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and savvy professional who thrives on accuracy and has a solid understanding of accounting principles, particularly those relevant to Quebec.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accounting accreditation is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in bookkeeping and accounting
  • Excellent knowledge of QuickBooks Online & Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of QuoteWerks and Basecamp is considered an asset.
  • Bilingual French and English – verbal, written.
  • Great communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    This is a full-time position working at the office Monday through Friday 08h30 – 17h00 in Lachine, Quebec.

DESCRIPTION DE POSTE : COMPTABILITÉ

Entourage X souhaite agrandir son équipe en recrutant un comptable ! Ce rôle clé soutiendra la santé financière de l’organisation en gérant les transactions financières quotidiennes, hebdomadaires, mensuelles et annuelles. Les responsabilités incluent la supervision des comptes fournisseurs et clients, les déclarations fiscales, la préparation des états financiers, l’élaboration des budgets et l’analyse de la performance financière.
Le candidat idéal est un professionnel autonome, minutieux et avisé, qui valorise la précision et possède une solide compréhension des principes comptables, en particulier ceux applicables au Québec.

EXIGENCES ET QUALIFICATIONS

· Une accréditation en comptabilité est un atout.
· Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en tenue de livres et en comptabilité.
· Excellente connaissance de QuickBooks en ligne et de la Suite Microsoft Office.
· La connaissance de QuoteWerks et de Basecamp est considérée comme un atout.
· Bilinguisme français et anglais – parlé et écrit.
· Excellentes compétences en communication.
· Excellentes aptitudes organisationnelles et en gestion du temps requises.
· Solides compétences en analyse et en résolution de problèmes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist management with all financial activities: maintaining books, improving processes, entering transactions, managing currencies, preparing budgets, providing advice, where applicable, and evaluating the financial performance of the company.
  • Manage payroll, deductions at source, vacation pay, and group benefits (including onboarding new employees and termination paperwork)
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions in QuickBooks (Online version)
  • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct ledgers.
  • Perform trial balances.
  • Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements (make journal entries as required)
  • Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
  • Open new hires’ files and process termination records
  • Keep track of employee timesheets and vacations
  • Prepare monthly and year-end journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly sales declarations.
  • Prepare & File GST/QST remittance to the government.
  • Reconcile Bank and Credit Card Statements
  • Oversee Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables (prepare and send invoices, match invoices with PO’s, follow up with clients’ payments, etc.)
  • Oversee job costing and prepare monthly commissions.
  • Seek ways to improve processes, automation, efficiencies, and the use of software.
  • Prepare annual corporate tax returns.
  • Periodically audit books and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Prepare T1 and T4
  • View Expense Reports and allocation of GL codes
  • Other financial requirements may be requested
